Larry Anschell has been recognized as a leading engineer and producer since 1987 when he launched Turtle Recording, which has grown initially from remote recording services to now offer world-class recording facilities in South Surrey, BC. Larry's engineering and production credits include Sarah McLachlan, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Paul Rodgers, Dinosaur Jr., Michael Buble, Blue Rodeo, Kenny G and hundreds of indie bands. Larry's studio production has helped launch many BC artists to major signings including Bif Naked, Daniel Wesley, DDT, Noise Therapy, She Stole My Beer, Nickelback, Another White Male and Jar (Flybanger).

Larry was awarded for producing the best "independent album of the year" voted by The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for the CFOX compilation CD "Vancouver Seeds V".
Larry is recognized as an expert in the field of live recording and has been a featured writer in CANADIAN MUSICIAN MAGAZINE, and holds an Associate Arts Degree in Audio Engineering from Seattle's Shoreline College, and has over 35 years experience as a musician playing both the guitar and keyboards.
Larry has engineered and produced over a hundred concert specials for radio and television which have featured many national and international artists. Paul Rodgers and Neil Schon had Larry engineer their live recording at the Commodore in Vancouver for national broadcast on Canada's Command Performance Radio Series. He co-engineered the recording of Bryan Adams sold-out homecoming concert at Vancouver's Pacific Coliseum and has produced a series of live concert recordings for both Vancouver stations CFOX and CFMI. Blue Rodeo flew Larry to Woodstock, Ontario to mix their live recording for national broadcast through Rock 102 FM, and recently had Larry engineer their live EP release recorded in Vancouver.

Larry is responsible for the recordings of the MuchMusic West Coast Big Ticket Specials featuring Ice T and Burton Cummings and was recruited by Warner Brothers Pictures to record the "live" portion of the soundtrack for their release "Singles" starring Matt Dillon. Larry recorded the performances of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden for the feature. Larry produced and engineered a segment featuring Allison Crowe in the motion picture "Man Of Steel" directed by Zak Snyder. Pearl Jam also sought out Larry's skills for their live concert video for the song "Alive" which received high rotation on MTV and MuchMusic. Kenny G's "Live" , recorded "live" by Turtle Mobile achieved sales of over 4 million units.....
